The pendulum roll stop is an example of a simple idea that provides a very effective solution. Thanks to the weight, the roll stop always returns to the upright position. The roll stop has a hinge in the middle which allows it to rotate. This is very convenient, for instance when driving below low-hanging branches. Thanks to the hinge point the branches press down on the roll stop and the weight allows it to nicely return to the upright position. This way, the rollstop doesn’t get damaged while faltering against obstacles.
