STAS wins 'Matexpo employer of the year' award

After one and a half years, it was time again! The trade fair for building equipment in Flanders, Matexpo, took place for the 39th time between 8 and 12 September 2021. STAS and the Belgian STAS dealer ATRAC were both present and STAS was the very first to receive the very first 'Matexpo employer of the year' award. It was a big success!

2021 promised to be an exciting year. We at STAS were very delighted to hear it was officially confirmed that Matexpo 2021 could go ahead after all. During 5 days of fair, Matexpo welcomed 41,671 visitors. That’s 2,000 more than the last edition in 2019!

STAS and ATRAC, the STAS distributor for Flanders, were able to welcome numerous potential clients, existing clients, suppliers, and employees to the stand in an informal setting. We even had a few international customers who absolutely did not want to miss the event. After 1,5 years of only seeing each other digitally, it was great to finally meet again in real life!

‘Matexpo employer of the year’-award

STAS received the 'Matexpo employer of the year'-award during the opening event of Matexpo. Alongside the Innovation Award, the Green Award and the Safety Award, this fourth award is a brand-new category. With this award, Matexpo wants to reward businesses that stimulate sustainable improvements in personnel policy and enhance the construction sector's image as an attractive employer. Due to all the efforts of the People department, we were able to convince the jury of the innovative corporate culture based on a number of cases. Even with formidable nominees such as Real Verhuur and Ford Truck Belgium, we still managed to stand out. How did we do this? Because STAS has very consciously rolled out an organisation-wide change process in which the company has evolved from a functional to an agile organisation. STAS carries out the vision that employees are perfectly capable of self-organisation if they are given the confidence and opportunities to do so. This is further reinforced by decentralisation and empowerment. STAS is convinced that a win/win can be found where an organisation and its employees strengthen each other in competence, flexibility, agility, and development.

Nocturne

On Friday evening STAS once again organised a nocturne until 11 pm. All the staff were invited to say thank you for their efforts over the past eighteen months and to celebrate winning the 'Matexpo employer of the year' award.

Discover the STAS U-Rockstar at Matexpo

A beautiful U-Rockstar was on display at our stand. This small, half-round steel tipper semi-trailer is the powerhouse of the construction segment. It is ideally suited for bulk transport of heavy building materials, large rocks, and other hard scraping loads such as gravel. The U-Rockstar has the widest high-grade steel chassis on the market. This ensures a unique and stable tipping experience. The half-round body consists entirely of wear-resistant steel Hardox or HB450. This kind of tipper is available in volume variants from 24m³ to 31m³.

We are looking forward to the Demo Days powered by Matexpo in September 2022. The Belgian STAS distributor ATRAC will be present and you will be able to see STAS vehicles in action.
We will see you again in 2023 at the 40th edition of Matexpo!
