TIPS&TRICKS - Automatic tyre pressure
Driving around with the wrong tyre pressure costs money while increasing the risk of accidents and breakdowns.
Luckily, there is an easy solution: the PSI automatic tyre pressure system. This will keep you on the move, even when you have a puncture.
How does it work?
PSI uses the trailer’s compressed air system to increase tyre pressure when pressure is lost. The system pumps air into the tyre via the axle housing even when driving, thus ensuring the tyre pressure remains at an optimum.
- A 3 to 5% saving on fuel on average. The tyre pressure is maintained at its optimum, reducing rolling resistance to its lowest value and avoiding any rise in fuel consumption.
- 10 to 20% less tyre wear due to ideal contact with the road surface.
- No blowouts!
- No unexpected downtime due to tyre problems. If your trailer is equipped with an automatic tyre pressure system, you can simply keep driving, even with a puncture. It means you can continue on your way without concern and leave repairs and maintenance for the times that best suit you.
