STAS Dealerday 2021: welcome back!

After more than two years, it was time to re-launch our International Dealerday and invite our STAS dealers and some suppliers to the beautiful West Flanders. During these two days, we organised numerous cultural activities, workshops and an educational tour in the STAS Factory  Tournai, as well as fascinating presentations in the beautiful Watou. In short: an educational, enjoyable, and packed two days!

After not being able to organise dealerday for over 2 years, we wanted to blow our dealers and suppliers away. Small spoiler alert: we certainly succeeded. We started our two-day event in the historic city of Ypres. We invited all STAS dealers to join a guided tour in Ypres and to witness the daily tribute to the fallen of the First World War at the Last Post. Afterwards, we had a relaxed dinner and were able to network which was a perfect end to the first day.

Thursday was an early day as the agenda was packed with activities. The STAS dealers met some of the suppliers in the STAS Factory in Tournai to take a guided tour to see how an aluminium moving floor trailer is built from start to finish, as well as the expansion of our production site with a brand-new factory hall. During the breaks, the dealers and suppliers were invited to admire some trailers outside and to confer with the product engineers. In addition, it was possible to give feedback on the products and the service. This way, we can receive feedback directly from the professional field and know how we can further strengthen our market position.

After having enjoyed some delicious Belgian fries, our suppliers and STAS dealers left for Watou. Surrounded by fields of hops, we started a series of presentations on various topics. Director Brecht Vandenborre spoke about the current situation on the market and shared a lot of relevant market information. Ella gave a short marketing update before we moved on to the main part of the sessions: digitalisation at STAS. Alexander from Sales, Sus from Product and Nele from Eminds took us through the internal processes that are further digitalised. After a short break during which we could enjoy a delicious Tripel, we continued with a presentation about our three pillars: peopleproduct, and our planet story. For each pillar, the importance of the pillar was emphasised as well as the current situation and how we will continue to work on this in the future. The presentations were concluded by an inspiring session by Dado van Peteghem on how trust can change the world.

After this educational afternoon, it was time to discover Bar Bernard and the Sint-Bernardus tripel. The remaining STAS employees joined us for a relaxed evening filled with delicious drinks, rich bites, and fine food. We ended the evening together on the dance floor, relationships strengthened, inspired and re-energised to get back to business.

We would like to thank everyone who attended and hope that it was as educational for them as it was for us. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone again next year.
